Wow. These are beautiful edits (but no no the bird doesn’t fit Yesung’s picture). Since I finished exams today, its time I give my two cents about these teasers.
Sungmin’s and Donghae’s are terrible, the worst out of the lot in my opinion. I don’t understand how they could allow themselves to be styled like that. The veil in Donghae’s *shudders*, I laugh every time I see it and something looks off about Sungmin’s - I just can’t bare to even give it a glance.
Shindong’s is underwhelming. It may have been due to the fact that his teaser was released with Yesung’s and so I spazzed and forgot everything else :(
Enhyuk’s and Ryeowook’s are tasteful. These are teasers that grew on me, in terms of their simplicity and elegance. People were complaining that some teasers (eg Yesung’s and Kyu’s) don’t look like the real person which I thought them blind/sarcastic/they don’t follow these members enough to know how they usually look, but Enhyuk’s really doesn’t look like him at all to me. I thought he was perhaps Ryeowook at first. These 2 teasers are now on my ‘tasteful’ list.
Siwon’s and Kangin’s are not my cup of tea BUT the artistic nature of the photos are to be highlighted. I think the colours are used very nicely, very unique and striking - also on my ‘tasteful’ list.
I have a love hate relationship with Kyuhyun. I only stan him depending on the context. I think he looks good sometimes and other times he doesn’t. There isn’t really much to his teaser so there’s nothing much to comment on, but the faraway look in his eyes make him look incredibly sexy here (I wouldn’t mind Yesung giving this a try - but I think he more or less looks like this already when he is in his own world)!
Eeteuk’s is my favourite teaser. I actually try not to focus on the outfit, but otherwise the artwork around his face and eyes extending to his hair is gorgeous. Its not overtop, its elegant something that may have easily come out of a fashion magazine. I like the crystals above his eyes, the entire feel gives off an air of quality and detail (if Yesung had been the one to do this I would have gone crazy)!
I have nothing left to say about Yesung’s because my feelings in the past few days have said it all. I’m really glad that it received good reactions in general. It’s not a teaser I can validly comment on because it will be clouded with biasness. His teaser almost looks unreal next to all the sharp colours (bling) of the others. It seems to run on a different concept from the rest (the closest may be Enhyuk’s) - more naturalistic, less materialistic, stripped of the dramaticness and act and thick coverings. At first, I lamented that it was not a close up but I realised the full body shot made more of an impact in align with the concept. The rest of the picture (backdrop, lower outfit, leaves on the ground) contributed to the air of ethereal, something we wouldn’t have felt so much if it was just a face shot.
